my phone provider is migrating to a different network (EE).
For C12months my dual sim Sony android phone has worked fine (both sims on same provider, on same "PREVIOUS" network - Vodafone)
I migrated one number over to the new (EE flavour) network to test the water.
After a few teething issues I am left with a recent annoying quirk:-
When I have mobile data enabled on the new network I cannot send SMS Txts - I get an immediate error "could not send" and a ":
My current phone doesn't seem to have the option, but I'm fairly sure previous ones have had the option to send SMS over the data connection, rather than over the 2G bearer ... if yours has the option maybe disable it?

Perhaps typically, for some reason, the phenomenon has disappeared as quick as it appeared.
Weird but ultimately not so surprising, particularly the response of the adamant "help" desk droid cow.
