I have to report occasionally to the US Pension folks whether I have changed my marital, citizenship, or working status. I have the latest form in front of me.
It states that it fully complies with the USA Paperwork Reduction Act, designed to do what it says. But: There is a form, printed on two sides of one piece of paper. So far, so good. But then there are two more pages of instructions, each printed on one side only of a piece of paper. This means that there are four pages of print, but using three pieces of paper instead of two, even though there is one form and one set of instructions, each of two pages.
As they say over there: "Go figger". Remember, "Your Government knows best". I once had an IRS form, that was 6 pages long, and had 36 pages of instructions on how to fill it in.
