It's interesting that a headset mic only is so difficult to find at a good price. For Zoom I prefer speakers to headphones. But a mic nice and close to your mouth is better than the 'camera' one.

DPA(*) make some very fine head worn microphones. B-)

Ah, DPA's come in at about £500 to £600 + VAT.

CPC of course have loads of cheapy clones starting at £20...

My wife is doing daily Teams meetings with her colleagues, really just to chat and keep up morale.

Earlier this week her colleague (only one at the time) was having difficulty hearing her because I was typing constantly (writing a program, 'brain to keyboard'). Didn't help that it's an IBM Model M.

She could work out what had changed. Eventually she discovered that Windows had switched her from the boom mike to the camera mike.

It is a problem, as only others hear your mic. Remember one where someone outside using a phone had the wind noise swamp the meeting. And wasn't sure how to mute it.
