OT: decaf coffee shortage - is it because of the CO2 shortage?

I was indeed hoping that someone here would provide a recipe of that sort. But I suspect that acetone might impair the flavour, not to mention the drinker. But liquid CO2 seems hard to get at present, so that may be the only way forward.

My problenm ois that waitrose seems to stick almost nothing BUT decaff beans...

Extra OT, I was amused to discover a little while ago that almost all Cadbury's Flakes are made in Egypt.

Delivery slots before Xmas are a bit thin on the ground right now. (but nothing like how impossible it was during lockdown #1)

.... and Sainsbury's have mulled wine on their shelves and at 11% that's double the alcohol content..

...and at £5 per bottle that's double the price of the Tesco and Asda offerings too.
