Maybe, but I have also known that the individuals record to show Benefit of the doubt, where a decision was made in the employees favour. It doesn't look good.

Personally I wouldn't have used a levelling device but measured from the floor. Parallel is better than level.

As an employer though, you really don't need this s*it when you are giving people work.

How are you going to fit the capping on that trunking ?.

Drill a hole for the conduit and cut the slit up to the top and snap it around the conduit.

If the apprentice hasn't been there long (< 2 years) unless they're female and pregnant, or from an ethnic minority, then it is pretty easy to sack them through something like poor performance.

I take it he didn't suggest using something like:

to tart things up?

Unless the dado passes under two widows that are out of level with each other

Govt's plan is to hand out free HGV licences with cornflakes next.

IIRC, my car driving licence also allows me to drive a 7.5 ton truck with a 3 ton trailer. I have driven a small luton occasionally, but people really ought to run for cover if I ever get into a large truck with a trailer. Particularly, if I try reversing it. :)

did they both have incontinence then? :-)

I initially read that as widows and dildos!

Or just neatly cut a round bit of conduit to stick on over the hideous gaping chasm.

In my twenties I once turned up for work a day and a half late, but I must have been better than any alternatives because I kept the job. I fell asleep one lunchtime, too, and slept through the afternoon on the client's lawn. The other guy on that particular job got sacked for fiddling his time sheet.

He wouldn't have got away with that. The boss would ask around.

Well Adam wouldn't do that, but if anyone did the boy would be able to tell the boss about it.

Is that the same length of trunking and is the laser set at the same height?

Bill

Yeah Glods! I've just spent two hours putting up half of a 12ft x 8ft stud wall, but that's because I spent the first hour shuffling platerboard panels around specifically to get an optimum spacing to avoid horrors like that. (Plus I'm horribly overweight and - I guess - 35 years older than laughing boy.)

You will lose that at 70 unless you do a renewal on paper with a medical proof of good eyesight etc.
