"Britons ditch the land of red tape to pursue dream of home ownership on the Continent "

"‘It’s much cheaper to run a business in France than the UK’ Kirsti, 38, moved to France full-time in 2018 while Phil remained in the UK to run his business, visiting every two months. A year later, Kirsti set up a shop in the middle of town specialising in upcycling furniture and selling chalk paint. "

What is this socialist rag doing? Labelling our country "land of red tape"?

What are they? Traitors? Brexit means Brexit.

Hmm, that is rather comparing apples and pears. They quote the purchase price of a dilapidated house that has taken 5 years of work to set right. It's in a cheap part of France, and then they compared it with the Cotswolds, which is an expensive part of England.

There may be a good point there somewhere, but it's an unhelpful bit of journalism.
