I sawed a small plank from a piece of (I think) cherry. It's 20" long and 6" wide at its widest.Apart from sticking it in a log burner or up an orifice, what would you suggest I do with this little plank of wood? was staggered that it took over an hour to saw this. Admittedly, that was with a fine tooth saw (Bahco 244), but it was a sharp point saw, and still pretty sharp. Along the grain, too.How did they do this in the wild west, when they had to build their cabins before winter set in?

And it can be taken apart, if required.
