I used to have a mains gas fired, ceiling suspended commercial hot air blower, with a through the roof flue at my old workshop. I have moved into the sticks with no mains gas, just oil fired central heating for the house. I'd like a similar hot air blower, but able to run off the central heating oil. Do they exist, and anyone know who might sell used ones? Or new if necessary, but it won't get a huge amount of use, it's just a (big) home workshop.

Ive got a 25 year old waste oil burner with an air/air heat exchanger for my garage/ workshop. I think they are now illegal to install in the uk, but these links may be useful.
Not seen any for sale, propane powered hot air heaters are fairly common. The oil fired ones used to be common as well, we used one to warm a coachworks in the 1970s, but I haven't seen any since then.

I think you mean a hot water fed forced draught convector which really doesn't care what fuel heats the water. Talk to BSS or a major heating distributor
No, I definitely mean a suspended on chains from the ceiling blower heater that either uses gas or oil to heat the INSIDE of tubes, and vent waste gasses through a flue, and it blows fan circulated internal air over the OUTSIDE of the tubes to take their heat, without any fumes at all. Water isn't a part of it at all. I could just run rads of the hose central heating system, but it would mean digging up a nice concrete yard area and LONG pipe runs, also they are too slow to heat up the place if you need heat NOW :-)

They seem to exist, but its hard work tracking them down.
Sorry I misinterpreted your post. I'm not aware of a suspended oil fired heater of the type you describe but I now recognise what you mean. The warm air type is often available as a floor standing warm air unit and can be fitted with discharge ducting to put the heat where you want it, but I would expect the problem of lifting the oil up to a high level heater would preclude what you describe being commercially profitable for a manufacturer. As others have said there are a number of "wheel about" oil fired warm air blowers on the market both oil fired and Propane fired types.
