No central heating downstairs

Feb 24, 2007 4 Replies

Hi can anyone help, I have a combi boiler that has stoped heating radiators down stairs.

The boiler is up stairs and heats the upstairs radiators without a problem.

If i check the pipes where they go downstairs both the flow and return are cold.

If i check the t on the pipes all 3 pipes on the flow are hot.

I have tried draining the system this morning but the same problem still exists.

The boiler is only running for about 10 seconds then shuts down and re- runs after about 60 seconds.

Thanks John

Hi John,

Yes the pump is running and its set on the highest setting, do you think it could be weak?

What boiler is it.... It might be the pump or even a wax stat on a puma... keep posting

The boiler is a Boxer C28, all parts are from Ideal.
