New Hoover Washer/Dryer - water fills Conditioner not wash part

Title says it all I hope.

One of my tenants has found that when she tries to wash, the water fills the conditioner section of the powder drawer, rather than the wash powder section.

I've tried it on a few sections, and this is what it does.

Are we doing something wrong, or could the water tubes have been wrongly fitted during manufacture.

Read the instructions? Sure you're not just getting powder and conditioner in the wrong sections?

Doubtful, can't say as I've seen that one before, but entirely possible.

99% certain that we are correct - but I'll double check.

I've got another of these in an empty flat, so I've double checked both the machine and the instructions. The water is definitely filling the conditioner drawer on the "faulty machine". On the other one, it fills the wash section on programme 5, and the pre-wash section on programme

Presumably the fill water is fed by one of 3 tubes into the powder drawer in order to direct it into the correct section. I wonder if I should take the top off, or suffer the ballsache of getting the engineers in under warranty.

Might be an idea to whip the lid off and do a visual as you have checked it against another machine. Might be worth going armed with a photo of the working machine with the lid off and doing a spot the diference.

My guess is that the wiring to the valves is the wrong way round and the conditioner valve is on the powder pipe and vice-versa. Should just be a simple case of unplugging and replugging but double check it is just that. It could be wired wrong at either end so it may not be easily spottable. If it does look like a ballache of headscratching job and it is functioning incorrectly then give Hoover a call.
