I have laid a new concrete floor (100mm concrete over 100mm jablite over damp proof membrane). The membrane comes up at the sides of the slab and I need to know what to do with it.
There is an existing damp proof course in the existing wall and I intend to put up a studwall around (inside) the existing wall. The current DPC is about 150mm up the wall. Do I cut the floor membrane off at floor level, or cut it off at the DPC - if so do I tape them together (not easy on one wall because the DPC is not extruding). Do I glue it to the wall ?
Or do i just leave it flapping about behind the stud !!
Someone somewhere has the answer !
