Now, ask for the file(s). Play them in VLC. The program will select the "best" format for you.

If Youtube-dl ever asks you for "ffmpeg", there's one here. Youtube-dl only uses the muxing/demuxing features, a tiny portion of ffmpeg. Zeranoe site is closing soon. Set architecture to Windows 64 or Windows 32 (according to what the lappy uses). Select Static. Only then click the blue "Download Build" button.

Find the ffmpeg.exe file in the 81.3MB ZIP file. Drag and drop it into the youtube-download folder (where ever it is). This is so Youtube-download can find it and it can stop whining about it.

I don't know why you can't see a video, but you can figure it out for yourself, as part of your new digital hobby. You did say you liked digital.

If Facebook transcoded the videos this wouldn't happen.
