For domestic floor spaces, the static design load (excluding self- weight)is usually 1500N/m^2

If you are not a physicist, 1g=9.81N, 10 is near enough. General domestic floor imposed load is 150kg/m2 = 1.5kN/m2 (30.7lb/ft2 in imperial).

Should read 1kg = 9.81N. The k should be lower case.

I had to think about that but that is a remarkably perceptive factor and one possibly worth remembering!
