More electrical bad work

The fitting is supposed to take GLS not reflector lamps.

TBH they are s*it cheap lightfittings. I have replaced all the lamps with LEDs (and earthed the fittings) and I left some spare lamps. Screwfix were doing five for £4 and I am working for free on this job.

Bloody Yanks!

Don't they have reversible mains plugs anyway?

You shouldn't rely on neutral to be neutral.

Only the old 2-pin. And not all of those, some are polarised. In my house in the US I had a clunky 240V socket, and 2-pin, 2-pin polarised, and 3-pin sockets.
