Minimum Temp for Rendering

Hi all,

I was going to mix up some sand and cement to repair some cracks in a concrete window sill earlier today, but then remembered you're not supposed to do this if it's below a certain temperature (and we must have been pretty close to that today!) I've seen some sites online in the US that say 40F is the cut-off, but that was for bricklaying so, repairing cracks.....?

If you use a frost additive it is ok, but it takes days to go off

Well, 10c or below was what I was told, but maybe it depends on the mix or the substance itself. It has two times. Time to dry, and time to cure, the latter often being much longer than the former. To bond well it would be better ef everything were the same sort of temperature. Brian
