HI Chaps,
My porch has very unsightly peeling masonry paint on the outside near the ground where I think rain splashback has loosened it.
Next time I am getting this done, would it be worth my while to apply some waterproofing stuff as an undercoat to try and improve the adhesion of the topcoat of masonry paint or am I wasting my time?
I don't think the damp is from the ground underneath because the wall itself seems sound. It seems to be just from the backsplash on the surrounding area when it rains.
Any other solutions gratefully received.
