Low-voltage dimmer switch question

Dec 04, 2004 1 Replies

I need to replace a dimmer switch (one-way) on a low-voltage halogen system. Each light has its own transformer and the bulbs are 50 watt, GU5,3. When I look for a replacement switch, the information on the bins in stores is not very helpful. What kind of dimmer switch can I actually use?

Regards and thanks in advance

may need to get a 400W type if you have several 50W bulbs and transformers (the standard types are only 250w) Also check your transformers are electronic types as most dimmers will only work with them.
