Ah, maybe that's the confusion. LCN = LOGICAL Channel Number, a meaningless convenience for humans to type into digiboxes. It's nothing to do with the frequency of the transmission.
You mean the *actual* channel number (As in RF Channel E21-E69)
Here (Sutton Coldfield), Quest is on LCN37 but RF Channel 42.
No doubt it shouldn't be on LCN37, but I haven't retuned in ages, so it is where it is :)
Group B (since 1997) is 35 to 53. Group A is 21 to 37.
Hannington's current spread is 32 (Reading local Mux) to 56 (COM 8)
Don't forget that mux on 48 remains at Midhurst, so you need a Group K (21-48)
Don't assume it won't all move again before DTT's eventual demise, but (as far as Midhurst is concerned) it'll never carry anything above 48

I would dispute that. We have lived in two houses with 'embedded' co-ax, one built in 1968 and the other in 1971. Both had the cable loose hanging down the inside of the cavity - no cavity wall insulation in those days until we had it installed. In both cases I attached the new cable to the old in the loft and made sure it could move easily but with the loose end secured so it would not fall. I then took the plate off the wall in the lounge and gently pulled the old cable which moved very easily and within a matter of minutes I had the new cable in my hand. I disconnected the old cable and terminated the new cable on the socket plate making sure it was clamped so it would not come adrift. Then I went into the loft, pushed about a yard loose into the cavity so I had some workspace at the bottom should I need it, secured the remaining cable so it would not drop, attached it to the aerials (UHF and FM) and tested it. Worked perfectly. We lived in the first house (near Cambridge using Sandy and Tacolneston) for a little under 4 years, and the second in Hotton (W Yorks - oh do wake up at the back!) for 11 years using Emley and Holme Moss and never had a moments problem with either.
In my many outward-going communications on this sort of subject I eventually settled on Programme Service Handset button number UHF channel

Nowadays they use stuff with a solid dielectric left over from a CCTV job. "What do you mean, 'it isn't the right cable'? It's f****ng coax! Coax is f****ng coax innit?"
Round her they used to steal 92ohm stuff from the pit. It's didn't work for the telly.

The first rewire of this house had the mains cables installed via the cavities.
The conservatory on this house has a bare wall of handmade bricks on one side. That too has the wires in cavity as there was no other way of installing them.
The way an aerial installer looks at this, when a customer asks for a cable route that might prove to be impossible the worry is that the customer won't want to pay for the wasted time. Customers don't usually understand the economics of domestic installs.
So taking out a brick in the loft and dropping a weighted string down the cavity, and hoping that it won't get stuck, is normally a no-no.
The best bet is to ask the customer to install the cable as a preliminary to the main job.

Mine is. I have a socket in the loft and from there the coax runs down via various ducts to the ground floor, to a distribution amp. Then back out/up to every room where a TV might be used. All a TV antenna installer needs do, is fix it on the chimney and drop the coax through the tiles, into the loft.
I hate to see cables and coax flapping loose down the outside.

BTW, what did 't pit use it for? We once had a small reel of 91 ohm at work, but I can't remember why. I have a feeling it was from the vehicle industry - but I don't think it was the ultra-low-capacitance stuff used for LW/MW aerials (which I think is up to around 120 ohms).
At about the age of 12, I spent quite some time dangling a weight on a string from the loft trying to get an aerial cable into my bedroom. With help from my brother, I could hear it banging about in the cavity, but at the time I was unaware of things called wall ties.
