Hi,
Just been to two of the largest local double glazing showrooms and they both tell me no one makes what I want. I just find that unbelievable as it's such an obvious feature people would need, I'd have thought. My old double glazing is getting pretty knackered so I want replacement french doors which can be locked slightly open, like most modern windows can. The idea is to get some air in and out without being invaded by the neighbourhood cats. A gap of just half an inch or so would be fine, but apparently no one makes doors which do this! The nearest thing the salesman could offer me was some nylon covered steel wire restraint which would prevent the doors from opening too widely, but would not stop the wind from blowing them shut within about 5 seconds flat. I need a rigid, lockable gap. Any ideas, guys?
