I want a new lawn mower. My 35 yr old Qualcast B&S Quantum 3.5 hp machine refuses to die and I hate the thought of getting rid of a working machine but I want a modern lighter battery machine.
What do other folk do with their old mowers? Happy to donate it to anyone in need of a machine but I suspect that most folk are looking at electric these days.

Trerice (National Trust house near Newquay) used to have a lawnmower museum, but I have read that it isn't there any more. You could ask if they want to start a new collection?

Beware the traders lurking there. Pick up anything 'free' and resell it for their profit. Perhaps with a side order of flytipping that which doesn't sell.
Put it on ebay for a starting price of 99p? It'll find whatever value it has, and will find somebody willing to collect it. If it doesn't sell, then you know how much people (don't) value it.
Looking at ebay sold prices they seem to be going about 30-100 pounds. Mostly a single bid, so I might be tempted to have a higher starting price than 99p as it looks like there's unlikely to be any bidding wars. You could still go for 99p if you just want shot of it I suppose.

Well I’ve just treated it to a new air filter, spark plug and a dribble of oil so that should double its value at a stroke. ;-)
