Large cupboard handles.

Anyone know where to get Imperial sized large cupboard handles ? I need to match existing ones, which have a distance between fixing centres of 12 inches and the caps covering the mountings are 2 inches diameter. This newsgroup doesn't allow pictures, so I've posted a picture of them on the newsgroup alt.binaries.pictures.rail (posted as 'GB - Big one').

I don't know about others, but I do (can) not subscribe to binary groups. Couldn't you put a pic up by internet means: picasa, dropbox, photobucket etc? A little more info would be useful. Nick.

Thanks for that Nick. I didn't know about Dropbox, but I've subscribed to it now and posted the picture in it.

That's nice, can we have a link to it then? ;-)

Sorry! It's 'handle 136.jpg'

Jim.

That might be the file name but how about a real clickable link. It is hardwork trying to help!

Bob

Hint: your Dropbox is private to you. You have to choose to make a photo public, and that provides a link you can post here.

Just thinking the same, when I have files I use dropbox public links. I don't want binary servers, their retention is too short. Brian

Sorry Bob, I thought every Dropbox subscriber could see the Dropbox file. I don't know what you mean by 'a real clickable link'. What does it consist of ?

Jim.

A URL, something that starts with "http://" that you cut & paste (from somewhere on the Dropbox site where you put your image) into your post here so that we can click it to fetch a copy of the picture.

I think I've got it now. It's

Make sure file is in your Public folder within Dropbox and right-click on it, choose "Copy public link" and post that.

If I fitted those Mrs Pounder would divorce me. Please let me know if you find any.

I suspect Jim Hawkins is still on treasure island. Lovely thread, good fun. I think the op is RLS and claim my 5.

That worked.

I don't think these are cupboard handles at all, but door handles.

I fitted one to a door jamb as a grab handle, a while ago; I bought it from an architectural ironmonger. After a quick google... how about:

That looks like an excellent match! Well done.

I was going to say I think the OP will be lucky to find an imperial replacement and should be thinking about trying to adapt a metric one.
