Is there a knack to joining 70mm grey Osma guttering? The brackets always seem too tight, and some break.

The reason they seem stiff is that the clip is not centred on the gutter properly
You can get round it by applying a lubricant to the rubber? seal so it can slip round a little. Washing up liquid.
Isn't washing up liquid bad for silicone ?
