R4 News Briefing 05:30 this morning:
The Guardian (who else?) reports that the average emissions caused by Christmas amount to 513kg CO2 per person, in contrast to the usual daily average of 22kg.
Now, why don’t they perform a similar exercise on EVs, from mining the stuff to the car rolling out of the showroom, and the electrical infrastructure to support it?
Of course, we all know the answer to that one.

513kg CO2 per person means burning 170 litres of fuel, which seems rather high just for preparing and cooking too much food.
Does this include people flying off to distant places during Christmas, perhaps?
I expect, knowing how the Guardian mind works, that it included just about everything they could think of. Whether relevant, researched, authoritative, or not.
The Grauniad becomes the Grinchian.
Bugger the Co2. after a day or two eating more than usual its the Methane and Hydrogen Sulphide output that has got excessive. Even the Cat moved.
