Iphone audio?

Its Apple and you bought something none apple.

Its playing through the 3.5 socket usually. I have a 10 r and that is the only way I can use it to drive an amp or ordinary headphones that do not fall out of my ears without using bluetooth. Brian

Not really, I think I've seen car adaptors for Apple Iphones but since us blindies do not drive I was not paying attention at the time. There have been amny gadgets for this over the years but the industry do not seem able to decide on any standard whatsoever, so its left to the third party folk to make adaptors. Brian

It may depend on the car and the age of it, may be worth asking a dealer if you are on speaking terms with any or an owners forum. I think on the other half?s MINI the adapter has two cables ,one USB the other a headphone plug which combine into the lightning connector. The car has a USB socket and a socket for the headphone plug in close proximity. The phone an I phone 5S is only connected via the lighting connector at the other end. On connection the phone displays ?This accessory is not supported? but then goes on to work fine when I phone is chosen on the menu with ICE functions working from the car controls as expected. Phone functions are by Bluetooth and not dependent on the cables unless you need to charge it. Had the adaptor approx 7 years and it was an eBay purchase but I cannot recall if it is was an apple,a counterfeit or just a cable that said it would work. The message saying it was not supported came later after a phone update and I have never bothered to find out if it means the cable or the car. The 30 pin to lighting adapters don?t always work too well in my admittedly limited experience with relatives who bought cheap docking stations with various plugs. and adaptors for I phones and I pods.
