I take it you've never worked with grown up software ? 10K is a snip when you start looking at some Microsoft or Oracle licensing deals.

My last employer spent a few thousand pounds flying some managers around Europe when they realised they could rationalise their European MS footprint and save close on 100K.

And from memory a pretty appalling road safety record.

You should move there.

You know as well as I do, that would only work for a policeman or premier league football manager.

No. When the case comes before the court, you will be told in no uncertain terms that you should have left the motorway at the next available exit (which may be the next services) and undertake any rectification with the car safely stopped.

FFS, JWS is a *troll*. You are wasting your time, electrons and the ATP required to run your brain "talking" to him.

When I left my PPoE, our annual bill to MS was about $23M. Steps were being taken to reduce it. *Big* steps.

Some rules are beyond petty.

Less rules sounds good to me.

A group of cowboys were branding some cattle. While they were out the cook saw a sheep tied to a post. Thinking it wa= s for that nights dinner he cooked it. That night after dinner the cowboys were all sulking and ignoring the co= ok. He pulled one aside and asked, "Did I screw up the cooking?" "No", the cowboy replied, "You cooked up the screwing."

M$ Office costs a lot less, and it's far more complicated than just some routing software which is just a slightly better version of what comes free on every home satnav.

Why don't you killfile me then? Or are you too stupid to work out how to do so?

Or anyone. I've stopped to have a drink of water. Why drive in discomfort or unsafely when you an stop for a pee, a drink, a sandwich, whatever?

They can get f***ed. It's very easy to tell the pig that your engine overheated.

Piracy? That saves loads.

In the end, it never happened. The MS licensing mafia got a wind of it and immediate offered the UK a better deal without the Euro-drag.

The whole organisation was ossified, and couldn't think in any other terms than Microsoft. In reality, they could have ditched almost all MS desktops for a stable Linux build running Chrome. But there was a "we only support MS and IE" culture. Which then had to explain to directors why they couldn't have iPhones and iPads.

ATP is a tennis tour, not sure how that's relevant.
