Inside the factory, 1970s style

I found Talking Pictures TV by accident. has some interesting stuff.

Tried to find out where they are manufactured now ,though the company name is still traded on it seems it was once owned by a Norwegian company . They started to use Norwegian produced wire as there were quality issues with UK produced wire according to them. Later they moved production to Singapore and then China. The present Partridge website seems a bit coy about informing readers where they are made but I won’t carp on about old company names being used to imply heritage when they are just fronts for marketing foreign produced stuff.

I had a spell at Raleigh in 1966 and there was ONE guy sat with a bucket of ball bearings by his side and as each wheel passed by he would fill the race with one sweep.
