In Scotland is permissible to have electrical sockets directly under a water pipe that can overflow directly into the sockets.

A contractor who was appointed to repair our home by an insurance company has placed electrical sockets on the base of our sink unit directly under a water pipe that overflow is this acceptable practice in Scotland.
