In car camera Detector

I'm not a low mileage driver and my only speeding ticket was more than 30 years ago - it cost me £5. I wouldn't have been doing 40mph with a Police car half a mile behind me if I hadn't genuinely though that was the limit. It taught me to look for lamp posts and repeater signs - even when driving along a dual carriageway with fields on one side and the houses on the other well back and separated from it by a very high chain link fence.

Unneccessary pedantry, given that the discussion was about speed trap detection devices.

That is not a device covered by the Road Safety Act 2006. Devices for detecting speed traps are.

Not actually required, although only one Police area has chosen not to take part in the scheme that does require them to be marked.

So is re-wiring a house, but who cares?

I did that many for 30 years.. I have never had a ticket. It is easy to avoid getting one.. don't speed.

Which police force is that?

You mean the box that held the security light, that I filled with all the odds & ends of packaging and left just inside the door? And what brick dust would that be? I didn't drill into any brickwork.

So, lets establish who you are. What did I do apart from the security light?

Nice try - no cigar.

Durham IIRC

Durham force area has no fixed cameras, relying only on mobile speed checking.

That would be a good reason for not having a Camera Partnership Scheme.
