Impressive shelf life of Fischer Fast Bonding Foam

I bought a tin of this in Screwfix 10 years ago but have only just got round to using it. I didn't expect it to be any use but amazingly it still did what it said on the can, even though bottom of can says EXpires 14/5/2012 !!.



The can says Art No 58500 MAde in Germany, but they don't seem to make this any longer, which is a pity. Damn good stuff. Can says 1-component PU adhesive. Dries and hardens after an hour allowing it to be easily cut to shape with a stanley knife.



What do other people use for gap-filling, bonding etc, rather than filling large holes, which this product may not have been intended for ?. Can shows photos of windows and pipes through walls being sealed in.
