Is it possible to import Thunderbird data from a Windows 10 machine to a widows 11 machine that is running thunderbird? I am speciffically interested in the calendar data. I want to merge the 2 calendars together. TIA Iain

If you just want everything, copy the profile folder from one machine to another. Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Directory
If it's just the calendars, Tools -> Import -> Import from another Thunderbird installation -> pick a folder -> tick calendars.
There's also a plugin:
formatting link
it doesn't seem to do calendars. Maybe another plugin does.
(options found on Thunderbird 126 on Linux, but assume Windows is similar)

Thanks for that Theo. Will this merge the data or overwrite the existing data?

If you use IMAP for email and point your calendar at your Gmail account you won't need to transfer anything it will be picked up from the Gmail servers.
Never used it so I don't know.
Another way is to export the calendar from the old version as a .ics (iCalendar) file, and then open the .ics file in the new version. It's common to import .ics files that get sent out as appointments, which won't overwrite what's already there.
(don't use calendars in TB so not sure how you export them, but there must be a way)
Theo
Calendar | Events and Tasks | Export That exports the calendar as a *.ics file
