Import duty - naive buyer

Of course it would be a nonsense. But no government IMO has any right to alter the constitution without a referendum.

Only from a geographical PoV. Just like Ireland is part of the British Isles - another geographical term.

Given how long that takes, Hunt could have avoided all these problems by not wanting the new conditions of service to start until it was achieved. But that doesn't appeal to the willy waving brigade.

Front cover says nothing about nationality, which is listed on the page where the photo is. Looking at SWMBO's 2014 passport, that says "British Citizen".

Crikey. Amazing the optimism some have considering how they were crushed at the last election. After being hyped to the skies by the meja. Who never bother mentioning them now. A typical 5 minute wonder.

I wouldn't know, not being a socialist.

But - SNP 50% of the Scottish vote. Most popular candidate in 56 of 59 seats. UKIP 12.5% of UK vote. Most popular candidate in 1 of 650 seats.

And the SNP didn't have any candidates other than in Scotland. So like for like, what percentage of the Scots electorate did UKIP get? Go on - give us all a good laugh.

As I said Socialist logic.

It's very easy to wave a hand with a buzz-phrase to deny reality, isn't it? But it won't go away, y'know.

The one saving hope that UKIP have got the next time the electorate are asked to pick a candidate, any candidate, is that Labour will be even more hopelessly ineffectual than last May. Even then, they got 2.5x as many votes as The Blessed Saint Nige.

What's happened to him since, anyway? He's been very quiet...

No, I'd prefer British, If Scotland or Wales wish to become independent nations, that is their choice. I am perfectly happy however to stop subsidising the Scottish economy, which has been ruined by socialism although the English have been blamed. I have lived and worked in Scotland, for a number of years, very enjoyably. So I do understand the results of tribal living logic and resulting religious divide that Scotland has achieved. The Welsh have managed to avoid playing the helpless victim card, although could not resist the urge to waste taxpayers money on road signs very few can read.

Have you managed to work out yet that the elections are for the British parliament.

Not quite sure what you mean given we don't have a defined constitution.

Perhaps you're one of those who got terribly worried about not being able to buy curved bananas or one of the many other things the meja whipped up hysteria over.

I do remember how the working hours directive stopped many in my industry taking the piss, though.

Whatever. But clearly better than no logic at all - your forte.

We have Magna Carta, the English Bill of Rights, the Habeus Corpus Act, and various others, as Winky will tell you.

No, I worry about real issues.

Fat lot of good voters are if you can't even get a single member elected. Even the Greens managed marginally better than that. Without anyone elected, it's all just piss and wind.
