Around the theme of awareness of house flooding from the local river. Last year the awareness theme was sewage contamination of the river. For that, someone invented a game of anchoring a floated standard toilet pan in the river and chucking simulated turds into the pan from the river bank, very popular.

Something to do with bailing water using a teacup, or stacking items on a table?
That reminded me of a much "liked" feature on floodmary.com site. She puts wooden table legs into 4 wellington boots before the River Severn floods. Assuming we will have a table there , bring along 2 pairs of wellington boots. Might get a few observant and mystified kids attention, "hey mister, why the wellington boots on the table legs ?"
