My sister lives near London and paid about £5k...the further away from the capital you go, the cheaper it can be done, I'm in Lancs, Yorks isn't much different.....I hear locally about all kinds of tradesmen going to work 'down south' because they can get double per day what they get up here...it seems to level out once you get past the Midlands
