Lifted the office mood somewhat that did. Have noticed these devices are receiving "saturation" advertising at the moment (can't recall the channel, might have been No2)

Firstly you book the family (if any) into a hotel for a few months....
That was funny.
I'd call the service guy on this one... (OK, OK, it's a DIY board, bu all the same). If the fault is electrical leakage (i.e. RCD trips whe pump switches on) or a burnt motor, you may as well go buy a new one Although all the parts are available, no one will ever replace them.
What's blocked? Is the motor/pump still running
