Head meets desk again

Bollocks. I'm sorry, we are small country and having easy to access to bins and regular dustbin collections is what makes us a nice country compared to a typical 1800s city where there was shit and rubbish strewn everywhere. Do you have a bonfire to dispose of your bin contents? That would be the logical end of "taking resposibility".

the government stopped being incompetant and wasting money hand over fist, what we are discussing would not be a problem.

What pissed me off is "they" are handing dosh to the feckless greeks and slimy bankers, whilst at the same time making my hectic life just a little bit more difficult.

You may not think carry some rubbish 60 miles back home is much. Well, by itself, it probaly wouldn't. It's that and the other 100 things that all add up. I've had enough and I will say so rather than rolling over and taking it.

Then we should have ordinary bins, and accept the miniscule risk. The removal of waste bins from public areas has done more harm to our quality of life than any bomb.

Oh you can't do that! Accept a minuscule risk?!?! Perish the thort. That'll mean pleecemen actually going to rescue people in rivers or postmen climbing over styles to deliver mail. Whatever next.

Socialism: Society ought to be different, and we will make it that way at huge expense. Localism: Society ought to be different, and you will have to do it yourself, cos we got no money. Andreas Breivik: Society ought to be different, and I did it my way. Uk.d-i-y: society is what it is, now what was your problem?
