Grrr - inco pad in washing machine. Tips.

You don't have to use anything sophisticated like that. A tissue makes plenty of mess.

Do you possess a tumble drier, seem very good at removing link from clothes.

If you want any clothes to shrink then a few washes might be beneficial.

I had to Google what this pad is but it sounds like when you leave a tissue in a pocket, although much worse.

I'm sure Senior Management has used one of those 'Lint Rollers' when a tissue is left in a pocket etc.

Oh, it is. It's got some sort of absorbent gel (like nappies) that swells before disintegrating into the chaff from hell.

I think we had a lint roller ... maybe worth experimenting.

Resorting to good old searching, apparently four aspirins in the drum and rewash for tissues. I haven't tried it.

Given the application, the gel makes sense. It wasn?t something I was familiar with. Obviously I?m aware of disposable nappies- after 3 children it is inevitable;-)

The history of the gel, at least the original stuff, is interesting. Apparently it is based on the stuff in the trails things like slugs and snails leave. I?m not suggesting they harvest it of course but they discovered the chemistry there.

I'll have to wait for that moment when I need to.

If you could find a way of speeding that reaction up, you'd make billions. We'd be growing our own fuel from grass clippings ...

Thanks for all the replies ... SWMBO managed to salvage the undercrackers and pillowcases. But socks and the duvet cover are still shedding.

Given the lack of urgency (we have more bedding than we use ...) I think the tumble drier is the least drastic solution ... conveniently kicking the problem into the long grass. Which now needs cutting :)
