Grrr... Creosote hassles

I wanted some creosote (the real McCoy) to treat some fenceposts and after a bit of searching through eBay listings I found a dealer selling the real stuff. At £35 for 5 litres not cheap but if it works, a small price to pay.

Anyhow, first tin was dispatched promptly and reached the local XDP Express depot the next day ready for delivery, where it sat, and sat, and sat...

A call to XDP's premium rate phone number didn't get me anywhere (there's only so long I'm prepared to sit "on hold" on such lines) so I emailed them.

To be fair to them, they replied the next day saying I'd have to re-order and gave me a local number for the delivery depot. When I phoned they said the can was leaking and undeliverable. Would have been nice if they could have told the buyer and the seller!

Anyhow, seller sent out a new can. Arrived today and joy of joys, I've got short measure. A 5L can with probably just over 4L of contents.

I'm guessing that they underfilled it to prevent a reoccurence of the leak but I'm not impressed.

What do you reckon, third time lucky?

No doubt the simplest solution. Just have to convince the supplier first.
