grit proof credit card holder

I keep my card in my wallet. The wallet resides in my hip pocket. I've usually destroyed the magnetic strip at the end of a month through sitting on the wallet while its full of sand etc. I have looked hard for a credit card wallet that would protect it from grit and is still small enough to fit in my pocket. Any ideas?

Place said wallet in a plastic bag and seal the top with a rubber band. Alternatively, don't carry sand around in your pocket :o)

Get one of those chip cards and only shop in places with chip readers ? :-)

A heavy-duty plastic zip-lock bag should work.

lakeland had a small tin credit card holder I bought someone at Christams but i cant see it on their site now ..
