I've setup a lot of smart devices around the house to help SWMBO.
These are initially controlled by an "app" on my Android phone.
I have then setup Google Home and it has accessed the accounts for the apps and imported the devices controlled into Google Home. This allows for Google Assistant to voice-control them.
All seems to work OK. However I have noticed a very weird behaviour which is regular, but doesn't seem consistent.
When you ask Google to switch a device on or off, sometimes there is a pleasing chime. Other times it replies "OK" (or a variant) "turning on/ off" <device name>.
This behaviour doesn't seem to be connected to the actual make of device as I have one two gang switch and turning one of trips a voice prompt, but the other gets a chime.
It's a mild odd irritation. I have burrowed into all the settings I can see, and there are some in the Google speaker about audio feedback. But that affects the speaker, not individual devices.
Just thought I'd ask here before wasting more time with Googles DIY support forums where after excitedly discovering you are not alone, the trail goes cold.
