I'm a sucker for a bargain

I’ve never had much joy with Wilkinson Sword blades, they never seem sharp even when new.

As for adverts, I ignore them.

I just buy the packs of Gillette Blue 2 disposable razors. The non-swively variety. They last for ages if kept clean after use, like pushing in reverse on a damp rough flannel to polish the blades.

I have never experienced that, mind you I am hardly a shaving connoisseur

I do too most of the time, but sometimes they are pervasive.

There is no optimal number of blades for razors as it depends on personal preference and skin type. Single blade razors are less expensive and can be more environmentally friendly than multi-blade razors. Multi-blade razors can cut more hair in one pass but it does not mean it gives a close shave. If you have sensitive skin, more blades mean more friction and potentially more skin irritation. Single blade razors shave on the surface of your skin, not beneath it, which can help avoid razor burn, bumps, or irritation.

Apparently dermatologists recommend twin blades.
