Garden furniture parts

Apr 28, 2015 21 Replies

I'm looking for some replacement screws and sockets for my patio furniture, but I can't find a supplier. There are numerous places selling seating material, but these screws and sockets are of a type that is commonly used on such furniture, but never sold separately, nor used anywhere else, as far as I can see. Does anyone have a known source? Even my local Fixings and Fasteners place can't help.

picture? Or should we try remote viewing today?

I'll put one up on Dropbox later. But do you need one, I'm just looking for a supplier of patio furniture spare parts, that includes the screw and sockets? As I say, they are commonly used for outdoor furniture.

Try looking for Dummer plugs?

If you had put pictures of both parts up in the first instance you would get quicker answers and maybe no silly ones.

Thank you for the reference, I see what I need. I was expecting that anybody who knew patio furniture would be familiar with the type of screw used, it is on every item in the local garden centre, but they could not help me locate a parts supplier.

Joint Connector ? screwfix Product Code: 83521 and 60492

Ah-ha! I had tried Screwfix first, but not knowing these names for the items, I had tried every version of patio/garden etc furniture parts/spares/accessories that I could think of, but never found those. Naturally, they are not referred to by any such name.

Thanks very much.

Screwfix has lots of bits and bobs of that sort.

Always best to provide illustrations and as much information as you can. Those fasteners are nothing like those used on my garden furniture, but then it is not folding furniture, which you also failed to mention yours is.

Yes, but I couldn't find them using the search terms that I wanted to use them for. See other post.

Yes, their search facilities are not brilliant!

I often find it better to thumb through one of their catalogues if I don't know exactly how they are going to name an item.

The trouble is that it is not exclusively garden furniture they are a commonly used fastener on all sorts of furniture

no, we just ask for the basic info for fun

A pic of the head only of a fixing is hardly very useful. Take one out, photo it, measure it, then you'll get somewhere.

Thanks to others who understood what I wanted, I already have my answers.
