Fury 185mm TCT saw

Are these any good? B&Q selling them off for less than £30 cw blade and

12mth guarantee. Has anybody ever bought one? It just seems a bit cheap as it appears to be able to cut wood with nails in it, steel, Al, etc etc

Depends what the power and RPM is, as well as the blade.

Seems a tad expensive for a 240v.

It's the size and number of teeth that determine what it cuts and how well it cuts it. You should look at the cost of replacement blades and compare the cheaper saws that will take such.

OK I bought one.

B&Q Luton. All the boxes appeared to have been opened numerous times but none of the staff would admit to any known problems.

So far it has cut about 12m of 1mm sheet steel composite roofing panel without complaint. There is an oversized blade guard which collects the steel swarf and must be emptied when full (cover swopped for outlet to saw wood).

If it finishes the job: 30 more sheets, I'll be happy.

There was an Evolution saw at around 98ukp with a larger but similar blade.
