Got a tube in a cupboard that comes on when the door is opened and has a
Tube was flickering +++++++ and not coming on permamently.
Replaced tube & replaced starter thingy
What now ?
(a deep cupboard so the tube is preferable to a bulb)
So if the door contact is iffy that will still cause the flicker no
matter the state of the other switch as it is always in circuit.
It's quite likely that the door switch is iffy, small micro switches
don't last long on a "nasty" load and a flourescent is a "nasty" load.
Try by passing or removing the door switch.
