I painted my garage with Leyland "Truguard" about 12 years ago, and it shows no sign of deterioration at all. On the the tin, it claims 15 years and I thought, "Yeah, right!" but it looks as though it might make it.

Leyland Trugard pliolite is possibly the best non water based finish as someone else has said it also has the advantage that it dries rain proof in under an hour, Permoglaze Micatex by Akzo Nobel is the best water base exterior paint I have used.

IMHO

Sandtex High Cover Smooth brilliant white and magnolia are on offer for £8.99 plus VAT from Crown Decorator Centres and a promotion of four other popular ready mixed colours for £14.99 plus VAT is about to start. (prices for 5 litres)
