Exterior paint question

I am having the outside (roughcast) of my house repainted by a local tradesman who I have employed before, with satisfaction.

However, I've just noticed that the paint he is using, Johnstone's Covaplus ( "Brilliant White Matt) is described as"Interior" on the drum and on the manufacturer's website. I don't want to cause unpleasantness, but when he returns on Tuesday, I'm not sure if I should mention this or not. Should I be concerned?

Damned good paint though it is, it's inappropriate for exterior use. There are plenty of quality exterior paints (e.g. the Stormshield range) from Johnstones and others. Their Smooth Masonry, for example, claims "Expected life in excess of 15 years" (and I have a can of that waiting to be used) - the Covaplus is not going to achieve that - and may have other weaknesses (e.g. could be more prone to mould).

You obviously are concerned enough to post here. Why should you swallow that concern rather than taking it up with the tradesman?

(Disclaimer. I happen to work for the company that owns Johnstone's but in a non-paint related area.)

As you were!! I may have jumped the gun here! I based my concern on an empty drum in the garage, but there was another drum of Johnstone's Stormshield. I reckon he was using the old Covaplus drum as a paint-holder (for roller), so all is well. Thanks for your response, anyway.
