Energy saving trust significantly downgrades energy saving estimates

The only difference I acutally noticed after insulating the loft was that it stayed too hot in the bedrooms at night in the summer.

Thats assuming 100mm layed seamlessly across the whole loft. Usually the 100mm is layed between the joists resulting in quite a few air gaps, in which case laying another layer at right angles over joists makes a lot of difference. Simon.

Mine has 19mm chipboard on top + loads of junk!

You could probably make better savings by just adding TRVs, timeclocks and a room stat etc to old boiler setups and keep the old boiler.

and pump overrun if its not already got it...
