Electricity to garage

Aug 25, 2004 1 Replies

I wonder if anyone can give me some pointers.

I need to run power to my garage, I want to run some cable from the consumer unit inside the wall where the incoming supply comes in and then out through the bottom of the meter cupboard.

Can anyone see any problems with:

a) Running the cable alongside the incoming tails and out of the meter cupboard b) Connecting 4mm armoured cabled to a breaker in the consumer unit

Cheers

No.

No, as long as you aren't cramped for space.

I suggest as well that you google groups on uk.d-i-y for topics about electricity to the shed/garage, it's a common topic and there are various things to consider
