Mine are PDFs too, the web sites also give HTML tables but cut and past tends to concatenate all the items in a row into strings, which then have to be unravelled to put in a spreadsheet.

Both the banks I use have multiple download formats for statements

comma separated, quiken and others.

The energy companies have to buy the electricity or the resources to generate it. I would expect that to be their largest cost.

Context is "paperless billing". So what you download get from a suppliers site not scanning in a bit of dead tree a snail carried to you. B-)
