My cooker hood is a 3 speed unit, with the push switches connected to a small circuit board.
One of the tracks to the on/off button has broken 3 times in as many years from what looks like heat (too much current?) - there is a little scorch mark when this happens.
I could not find any obvious shorts anywhere, so have resoldered the track. The latest time the track was too short so I added a bit of copper wire to make the join. But this seems to have gone again.
Any ideas what could be causing this track to keep blowing? The fan works OK in normal use, and is rarely used on the high setting.
