Yup. I thought it very honest of them - especially the refund. I've no doubt they will start up again if things ever get back to normal.
What credit ?. many of the minnows that have failed have simply run out of money and OFGEN? is coughing up the lost credit, which will of course sway their decision regarding the price cap next April.

I realise UP have no money left, but it's still *my* credit, and OFGEM's code of practice says I'll get it eventually from some sort of levy fund that all energy co's have paid into.
That's what I meant. Everyone will be paying for those levies one way or another, including the 15 million people who have never switched.
Last night I got details of my EDF account, it isn't really live yet, but it exists, it does let you say whether you are, aren't for now, or aren't ever interested in a smart meter.
